When requesting your custom made curtains please specify the lining whether it is standard, blackout or interlined. We do recommend you blackout line your soft furnishings which will hide any stitch marks which maybe shown using standard lining. We will use the lining colour whether it is white or ivory which works best with your fabric select unless advised other wise by yourself.

- Exact width
- Exact finished drop
- Curtain drop, decide where you want your drop to finish this can be the sill, below the sill or to the floor. Double check the length of your curtains working your away along the track or pole from left to right, this is because drops can vary. Once measured decide which drop suits best.

There are a few ways to measure the width for your curtains
Option 1:
If you have a pole measure the full length of the pole excluding the finials.
Option 2:
If you have a curtain track, measure the full length of the track.

Tips and advice on a measuring guide:
Inside the recess:
- Measure your recess, take the narrowest width (As some widow recess are not equal) Take 1cm off the recess width, this is your finished width.
- For the drop, again check the measurements in several places to get the length that works best for the window overall. This will give you your finished drop.
- Please confirm your chain drop from where the blind is fitted to the floor, this is so we can determine the chains finished length.
- Make sure your blind sits forward of the window handles so it does not cause obstruction
- Blinds that are fitted inside the recess will not give complete blackout
Outside the recess:
Measure the width of the recess and then decide how far past you wish for your blind to go past either side, this will give you your overall width. Usually the width of your sill plus 2cm either side. If you do not have a sill you would usually take the blind 5cm past either side of the recess.
This will enable you to get your finished width
Choose where you want your blind to be fitted. Blinds are usually fitted 10 cm above the recess and finish 2-5 cm depending where you want the blind to finish below the sill. This gives you your finished drop.
Please confirm your chain drop from where the blind is fitted to the floor, this is so we can determine the chains finished length.
